Preschool Curiosity Club is a Big Hit!

'Delphi Academy of Los Angeles is happy to announce the successful beginning of our new "Preschool Curiosity Club" which meets one time each month. The "club" is for 2-5 year olds and the purpose of the club is to introduce Kindergarten and the concept of "school" (as opposed to day care) to younger children. We know that the idea of starting school can sometimes be a little daunting to some children and we want to give them an idea of what school is like, what's it all about and what to look forward to when they are old enough to start.

The February and March club meetings were in the kindergarten classroom. Club members enjoyed several fun activities such as puppet shows, gymnastics, arts & crafts projects, read-alouds and yummy snacks.

The activities vary each month, and they are always great fun! Club members are also encouraged to invite friends to come along and share the experience with them.

If you would like to get your child enrolled in the club, contact Virginia Lindskog in the Admissions Department at Delphi. She can be reached at 818-583-1070 or via email Virginia_Lindskog@DelphiLA.org.

Dragon Basketball Finishes Season Strong

The basketball season got off to a rough start this year but soon rebounded and finished with a strong record in International League play, more than doubling last year's win totals. The season was highlighted with a season sweep of St. Monica of Pasadena. Under first year coach Sean Tuber, the Dragons applied his "defense first" attitude with Parker Osmond leading the league in steals. But the team did not forget to score and Cody Simpson led the team with an average of 18 points per game earning him the reputation as one of the leagues top scorers. The team goes into the off-season with confidence and a new found work ethic that will propel them into another great season next year.
